Has Anyone figured out hoe to change the rounding tolerance on the measure tool to something a little less specific? Say 1/64" even...

you can't at this time

I've been wondering about that too... a real bummer...any workarounds besides drawing everything precise to the 1/256th? ;)

well...you should be drawing precisely...:-)
If the measure tool is too exact, use a dimension instead. You can always delete it.

Exactly, if you do not draw precisely, you are in for a world of hurt down the line. Even if you round up dimensions, if you are not precise, you WILL accumulate a rounding error(s) sometime.
I never understood how one could draw imprecisely, seems like it's more work to do that.:screwy:

Agreed. HOWEVER...I was only trying to make a point, and every once in a while you do get a 256th to deal with that ends up being more of a nuissance than anything else. :D

Can we put things in perspective here? I wouldn't consider the desire to limit your measurements to less than 1/32" in the construction world the abominable act of sloppy drafting, or even UNPRECISE. Anyone with a toolbelt would laugh at FLOOR PLANS that show 1/16" units in a dimension string.

I think it should stay that way...and I think ACAD would have a lot fewer hassles if it would remove the ability to do so. I can't tell you how many times a dimension chain went bust because of some lines that were off by 3/256" or two lines that didn't quite intersect once you zoomed in to the nth degree. Precision at the drafting phase eliminates a lot of frustration in the building phase.

Years ago when I used Desktop to verify dimension strings I changed the dimension units to 1/64th checked all dim strings. Used the measure tool to check general lengths. Just the reverse procedure.
