Summary: Give Revit the ability to graphically and dynamically control the depth of plan views in sections.

Description: Let's face it, View Range is the not the most straight forward and easy to use command/control in Revit. New users often struggle with the concept of cut planes and view depths and find it hard to understand exactly what all the settings mean. Doccumentation on the subject in early releases was poor. To top it all off, Revit is a graphical design/engineering tool and developers would do well to think about ways to work more graphical input into the staunchy parts of Revit like the View Range dialog box.

What would make the view depth controls easy to use and understand is to allow the user to see the extents of the view depth and cut planes graphically in a section or elevation. It would work similar to how you control the depth of a section only there would be more crop regions. Give the user control to view just the ones they want to see and also to set the levels through the graphical interface. I think with a little planning this could be made very intuitive.
