All,

For some reason I can't import family types into Revit. I have tried to select a family that is driven by a .txt file but the button is still ghosted. Don't know if I'm in the wrong view but I tried 3D, and elevation.

Don't really know what I'm doing wrong.

Have you tried to just load the family? If created properly, it should still give you the catalog types dialog box. Also, maybe a different view?

I tried to import the family again but it won't bring up the family type list. Tried the different views too but for some reason that button is greyed out in all views, even tried a new project and still nothing.

From your screen shot it appears you are in a project file. That functionality is only available in the family editor.

Perhaps you are just looking to LOAD families with a type catalogue?
