Hi I'm new to Revit.
I started with the tutorials and made some progress, but it's still quite a learning curve.

I started a new project using the Residential Default template.
When I set up the Foundation Wall I get the following message:
"Top Constraint is invalid for the Level."
The base/top constraints are basement / up to level first floor.

What do I do wrong ?

Every input is appreciated

Make sure you have established levels for the Basement and First Floor.
Then, working on the Basement level, draw your Foundation Wall, with the bottom constraint set to Basement and the top constraint set to First Floor.

Look at it in 3D to see whats going on.

foundation walls go down by definition, so it is looking for you to input a height when you draw the wall. So you go to your first floor plan and pick foundation wall, then input a height of say 3 feet and trace your floor plan, then the wall goes down 3 feet. You can later modify it to go from top of footing to fin. floor or whatever your levels are. The wall function is what controls this behavior, see attached jpg.
