Class Description: To examine the use of complex formulas to drive parametric components for the purpose of exploring design in Revit. How far can we go? We will look at creating families for space planning and iterative facade design as well as more simple issues of regulation compliance. It will include practical use of several new Revit v2012 features including adaptive components.
Key Learning Objectives
Learning about complex formulas in Revit, including some limitations, tricks and error checking.
Applying complex formulas in parameters in Revit families.
Establishing and testing “what-if” scenarios .
Pushing the boundaries of Revit as a design tool.
