Summary: I want interactive choices and reports when migrating from an old release to a new release.

Description: It would be nice when migrating from an older release to a newer release that the migration utility would pause to ask the user what they want to do with conflicts in settings and paths.

Such pauses should be optional. If the pauses are turned on; the utility could ask the user to:

1. Keep the recommended setting in the new release.

2. Replace the recommended setting in the new release with the old release's setting.

3. Keep both where applicable (e.g. paths)

The ability to export a settings report would be helpful. Right now I make screen grabs of each dialog box of the old release to aid in migrating to the new release. This is tedious to put it mildly.

This has always been an issue with AutoCAD and it drives me nuts. I always have to take screen shots of the setting/options/tools and spend a lot of time, too much time getting merged with the new stuff. It's bad enough that because of most of our IS Department's rules, we are unable to install our own software, so we have little control over installations and updates anymore. Typically, IS just installs a new version and disappears without much notice, so even if there were options for migration during the install, they would be overlooked. Migration needs to be a default in the install, so afterwards the options of what to keep/discard can be controlled by the user.

Same here, nobody who uses AutoCAD is allowed to install any software. Previous settings should be stored giving AutoCAD users the option to reference and/or migrate setting after the install.

I agree! I also dislike the amount of extra junk that gets dumped on us in an install no matter how much de-selcting we do in the customization's for our deployments or installations.
