Class Description: Using real-world data flows, this class will introduce concepts for the successful use of Autodesk Topobase for managing water or wastewater utility infrastructure. See how and why the proper setup and use of customer-specific data models in Topobase is essential to the success of the project. Understand how various user types can interact with that single network model—using Topobase Client, Topobase Web, as well as the AutoCAD Map 3D and Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise products alone. Explore how external (non-Topobase) users such as contractors or field personnel can create and edit data for integration into the Topobase database. Briefly explore and understand how non-technical users (e.g. finance, planning) can access and update infrastructure data and how they can participate actively in the enterprise solution.
