Class Description: Although Jacobs Global Buildings, North America has been using BIM and Intelligent design tools for many years, an internal directive that all new design projects will be done in BIM was issued three years ago. Since then, Navisworks has increasingly become part of our workflow. Integrating the different discipline models into one single model allows the team to not only visualize the project better but also to coordinate the design easily. We will show our coordination methodology for using Clash Detective on design projects, how to create communication flows between co-located and multi-office teams, show examples of Presenter for simple and high-end visualizations for client design reviews, how Time Liner helps with constructability and safety by completing 4D models in design, and other multi-platform case studies which showcase the array of capabilities in Navisworks. This session will be of significance for existing and new Navisworks users who are interested in recommended techniques for integrating multidisciplinary models.
