Class Description: Students learning CAD in an educational setting often have difficulties with drawing management, including creating layer standards, using plotstyles, and organizing files. CAD classes typically do not teach drawing standards; students begin to learn these skills only once they have started their professional careers. This class will focus on the implementation of CAD drawing standards in a university architectural program, including a discussion of elements that should be addressed, implemented, and enforced. The class is designed to help educators understand the components of drawing standards and CAD management that should be utilized, which can greatly benefit their students.
