I would like to know what the Yes/No parameter is used for and how you go about implementing it. Maybe via an example file.

I used the yes/no feature on a shared parameter called "panic hardware" for my doors. It appears in the door schedule as Yes or No.

One example would be in a window schedule to indicate whether glass is tempered or not.

Ah ok, it's purely for schedule purposes only.
I thought it might have something to do with being able to turn family items on/off. Like a door that has bollards around it, being able to select no to turn them off. This would save having to have another family that doesn't have bollards.

A wishlist item at one time was the parametric ability to turn on/off items. Could be very powerful!

Mr. Client: I think I decided I want muntins on the windows....
Mr. Architect: No problem...(clicks the On parameter in the family properties of the window)....Voila! Do you want to see it from another view? :D

Coming from an ADT background, where I could turn components of objects on/off, I too think this would be a great feature.

Until then, you can turn off family parts if you define them discretly as sub-objects of the object category you are using. Vis/Gra settings would let you toggle off muntins if your family was setup with this distinction.
