So doors and windows can cut openings in multiple layers of walls (horizontally) by Join Geometry.
Works great.

What about VERTICALLY?
I have garage doors in the wall above the foundation wall.
Their sills are really about 8" down from top of foundation wall.
I joined the geometry of the walls above to the foundation walls below but the doors do not cut out the foundation.
Is this possible?

Yes, I can work-around and edit the wall profiles.
I don't want to do that, though.
IMO, the door should absolutely cut the foundation wall.

Have you tried setting the door insertion to a negative number in properties? Or is that not something you want to do?

During the door insertion, the door will cut both walls (if the door overlap both walls that is). If you inserted the door above the foundation wall and then move it down, the door will not cut the lower wall. Cut the door to clipboard and paste aligned to same place.

I did try setting the sill to -8" but was a no-go.

Bingo!
This worked.
Next time I'll know not to dimension up all these garage doors (multi-family) before getting the foundation modeled. *sigh*
