In the "Structure" dialog box for walls, you have the option to Modify the vertical structure.
For example you can adjust the interior gyp and hat channel that attaches to the CMU in a brick with block back up system so you can have it stop just above ceiling and not go all the way to the top of wall. Or in another case, have the block and brick extend above the roof and the gyp and hat channel stop.
However, when you do this, you loose the rendered appearance in any 3d view of the CMU which should be the layer that's exposed. You end up with a wall that shows brick on both side.
I've found the same "Bug" in 2014 as well. Is this something that's a known issue or am I missing something.
It would seem to me that revit should be reading the material that's there and not project the exterior material thru to the inside of the wall.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.http://forums.augi.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=98763&stc=1http://forums.augi.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=98764&stc=1

Probably not what you want to hear, but I get the same results in Revit 2015. I also get "slots" in the masonry part of the Wall when I pull the GWB and furring down to the ceiling level, which is not right. That is probably user error (or so I hope - I would rather it was something I did wrong than have this be the way the program works).

...OK, if I change the join type to miter, the slots go away. But I still get a brick materials on the exposed CMU face.

Not that I expect adesk to do anything about it other than tell me to wait for the next release, but this would appear to be a flaw in the system correct? How does one tell adesk that they have a flaw in their programming?
