Hi! How are people doing demolitin tags with Revit? I created a demo plan showing a wall that will be demolished as a hidden line. I want to point to the wall with a leader and number that links to my "Key" to describe what is involved with removing the wall (remove wall, electrical, plumbing, etc.). How do you create a "tag" to point to that walll? A leader with a circle around the number would be great.
Thanks!
Rob

User Keynotes would be my suggestion.
You'll need to create a keynote text file for it to point to, but that can be somewhat easily done.

I don't have an answer for you but just a quick question...
I assume you are using phases for this? And you have placed your items to be demolished on a phase before new construction?

Dave, Thanks! I will try using keynotes... I did create a text style and used the "show border" option for this project. It appears to work..
Ted, I did use phases for this project. I created my existing floor plan then made a copy of it and named it "floor plan demo". I used the demo tool (the hammer) to demo the items I wanted to remove. It seems to work well.
Thanks again,
Rob

There's an out of the box "keynote tag" that you can use.
It'll link back to the keynote data base.
Add the keynote to the data base, load the data base into your file and then add a user keynote.
When you go to add the user keynote you'll be prompted to select an object, and then a dialog box will appear with your keynote data base that you can select from.
