Anyone know of the best way to take a revit 2014 model through to augemented reality? Showcase used to have a plugin but it it's been de-activated (thanks for that autodesk!). The only way I can find now that doesn't involve sending it off to some company to host is a plugin for 3DS. Is this right?

Yes, although we used Ogmentit for a project recently and worked nicely.

We use a variety of tool. Depending on the final output we will use max or Unity. For the output we use Junaio, a complied .exe(or app) or an Oculus Rift.
Everything is done internally

Thanks Craig, I'd like to try internally though first and see how I get on.
I have used Augement. It is really easy to use and accepts .obj files from Revit. An .obj exporter app is available in the AutoDesk Exchange. Augment allows for you to view your models on your smart phone or tablet. I have also been looking into Vrban which also takes .obj files and allows you to view them with Google Cardboard. Very coold fpor those of us who don't have an Oculus Rift yet. It is still a beta though.

Thanks D, I'm an aechitect so only familiar with Max. AR-Media (inglobetechnologies.com) seem to have a straightforward max plugin and a viewer. I'll give that a go

Just had a look at their website. This seems really good to start with, thank you. Vrban looks useful too. You're right, step at a time, it'll be cool to see how cardboard works for now, maybe move to oculus next year or the one after. Thanks!

Anyone thinking about the HoloLens?
Cheers,

Everyday :)
That looks awsome. Where can I get one? Can I be a Beta Tester?
