I've tried to find an answer to this but haven't located one.

It appears that levels without plan views associated to them do not show up in the drop downs for view ranges and plan regions. Is there something I am missing with the level to get them to show up (other than assigning it a plan view)? This is not a huge problem because we can obviously offset the view range but it's more a matter of practicality. We have a couple loft levels that objects are a assigned too, I'd like the plan region to to be use that level as a reference but it doesn't show up! Any thoughts on this?

Thank you!

I don't use plan regions often, but have you tried using a reference plane and then assigning that as the work plane for the plan region? (Im not even sure that will work)
As you said, I tend to just duplicate an existing plan view, and set the view range accordingly. Alternatively, why not create another level specifically for the loft, and create your plan views from there?
