Roof Returns

I have done this in the past with my roofs but now when I sketch the following the roof takes a nose dive.

Did you try eliminating the slope on the 2 short inboard lines? They are causing the roof to slope downward toward the center. If you still need the returns you may have to model them separately & then "join geometry."

Got it to work again. :D

You can see in the images.

What I was doing wrong was to extend the main roof line out the 3 or 4
inches that I wanted for the return.

What I've done now is to make the return with three separate defined slopes and as you can see it works nicely.
