Scaling linked files

When I linked the file I set the import units to cm. Very so often, or specially when I reload the file during a session, somehow the option auto dedect overrides the cm setting. So file of course not in proper scale.
Is there a way to set the Import units for a specific file which will prevent that auto dedect will override,or can I somewhere set the cm as first choice instead of auto dedect?

By loading I used the cm setting because auto dedect did not "auto dedect" the proper units from the linked dwg file.
Therefore I also wonder while the auto dedect function does not load the file correctly. The Units in the dwg are in cm?!

On imported drawings my experience has been that once I select a unit in the units dialog other than "auto detect", Revit holds that setting for any drawings imported thereafter during that session.

I tend to import rather than link. Is the scale change taking place when you reload the link via the "Manage Links" menu?

It happens mostly by using manage links.

But sometimes it happend also by loading the file!
