I have recently encountered a similar problem, this video helped me greatly. It doesn't show how to create an actual window model, but rather how to model a window into a wall.

I went to Seek to find a single hung window that i could manipulate into an archtop single hung, but somehow am having trouble loading it into my project

Andersen Windows has a tool/ program to generate windows that may be helpful. Its a free download from their website. I use it a lot, and like it..
