I've been given a DWG with a linetype I want to duplicate. The linetype inserts a circle at each vertex. If you add a new vertex, it puts a circle there too. But only at the vertices. The rest of the line is a pattern of dashes and gaps. I tried to pull out the pattern from retrieving the .lin definition, but that is blank.

How can I recreate this linetype? I suspect it is a MicroStation created linetype, but I am surprised that AutoCAD accepted it so well, if it is.

Thanks

Can you post a sample drawing?

I'd like to take a look at a sample drawing also.

Yeah, if it's a microstation complex linetype, then it's not going to be defined using the standard linetype definition, as explained in more detail here (http://through-the-interface.typepad.com/through_the_interface/2012/12/purging-unwanted-dgn-linestyle-data-from-an-autocad-drawing-using-net.html).
