Point Cloud question

My boss said he read somewhere that we can render the point cloud in revit. I see nothing on this topic anywhere. I am sure he miss read it but wanted to get confirmation before I tell him that revit needs to take the information and make the model before we can render. Am I correct? Thanks

You cannot use point clouds in traditional renders. You can, however, do screen grabs of Realistic Views with shadows, antialiasing, and ambient occlusions, which will look real nice.
