polyline half width

I have multiple polylines drawn with the same half-width. My question is, can I modify the half width of these so I have different half widths for different polylines?

Sure you can.. sort of.
Maybe there's a better solution, but you can simply select the polylines you want to change, and while in the Properties Dialog: change the global width to (2x) the desired halfwidth.

That's what I would do anyway, unless I don't understand the question.

I attached a screen shot... What I want is to copy the polyline, and be able to edit the ending with to make it thinner. I tried the global width but that changed the width for the entire polyline.

Ahh yes... I didn't understand the question.
Yes you can do that too in the properties dialog.
