I can't seem to figure out how to cut off visibility of these stairs, (preferably with a cut line), on the lower side before they go down below
the floor joists. In other words I just want the top 7 or 8 risers to show.
Thanks

Hello,
I have to presume you want to show just the 1st FL framing and therefore do not want to show stair riser lines "down" (below 1st FL) because otherwise it is conventional to show stair down...I DO NOT know if there is a stair up...draw your stair w/ base level basement...try this:
In VIEW RANGE set primary range top to 5'-0 +/- above BASEMENT (not 1st FL) set cut plane a little bit lower like 4'-9" check break. Symbol under graphics within edit type.
