structural wood column doesn't join wall

hi guys, i'm newbie in revit and i'm trying to create a wooden wall with columns. as i choose as structural colums the wooden ones, i can't apply the joint command beetween the wall and the column. otherwise if i choose the concrete ones the issue doesn't reoccur... can anyone explain me why? is there any way to use the wooden column instead the concrete one? thank you

In the column family, in 3D view, select col. geometry, click on ‘visibility settings’, and check ‘coarse’ in detail level and reload to the project.
