Hi all...

I've tried to download a trial version of Autodesk Vehicle Tracking. The website forces you to use an Autodesk download manager, then when downloaded, runs the install file.
When I tried to install the software, I didn't have all the prerequisites installed, so I had to cancel the install.

Does anyone know the location where the Autodesk installer downloads the setup file to..?

I checked the Chrome temporary internet files location, and my "Downloads" folder, but couldn't see anything there. Any other ideas..?
I am using Windows 7 (x64)

Thanks in advance for any help...c.d.

There should be a (buried) option for a browser only download. As far as I'm concerned, that's the ONLY way to ever dl software from adesk.

Thanks cadtag,

There is a (sneaky) second link right down the bottom of the page (http://www.autodesk.com/products/vehicle-tracking/free-trial). It still uses a download manager, as opposed to a "web install", so I can install at a later date as required.

I'm also not a fan of web installs.

Cheers...

Do be aware that the download manager is from Akamai, and many people and IT groups consider Akamai to be little more than malware. If you do use it, as soon as the download is completed UNINSTALL it from your machine.
