Hi guys and girls,

I'm currently modelling an existing building, and now i'm at a part where i'm not sure what to do.
It's a tiled wall from a building by Alvar Aalto in Finland. The tiles are one thing, but there is also a concrete rastering in front of the windows, and these are also tiled. How could i approach this?

Thanks in advance! Your input means a lot!

Greetings

Why not have the concrete as your base wall and then make a wall based family for the tile. Use parameters so can almost use it like a repeating detail component

Curtain wall may be another option, with the tiles as mullions. Set up the curtain wall with the appropriate default interior mullion and default spacing, and use a panel set to concrete as the default panel. You might have to create a half-round mullion type or something to make it work.

Thank you for the replies! I'll look into both, and see what I can make of it... :)

Just wanted to show what I eventually did, I made 2 Face based objects, and arrayed them over the wall.
Thanks harkeychad and patricks for the input, it really helped!
