How do I cut beam pockets into my foundation wall? I placed the beam in my model, extended it to the middle of the wall but it just dies into the wall. I need to cut away a portion of the wall to make a pocket. How do I easily do that?

How do I cut beam pockets into my foundation wall? I placed the beam in my model, extended it to the middle of the wall but it just dies into the wall. I need to cut away a portion of the wall to make a pocket. How do I easily do that?
I've never actually needed to do that, usually this would be covered with a detail, not modeled.
There may be better ways to do that but the easiest way I can think of is to edit the profile and create the step downs for the pockets, and infill with a thin concrete wall to the outside face.

You can also add a void extrusions at the beam ends in the family and use cut tool in the project to create a pocket.
