cap precast plank end cuts

I'm using the precast floor planks from the Revit library, which were created as beams rather than floors. I need to cap the exposed cores at places like shaft openings. If they were floors, I could use a sweep, but they're not. Any ideas on the easiest way to accomplish this?

How would this be done in the field; cut to length and fill the cored openings or cut short and cast a 'cap'?
I'd probably just create a face based family and attach it to the cut end of the beam
