Issue when a view is opened in the Project Browser and when it opens, the model is somewhere way off screen, and we have to Pan or Zoom Extents (ZE) to re-center the model.
This is happening to several people in our office every time they open specific views like a Floor Plan or RCP.
This issue happens across 2014 & 2015 products and, as far as I have seen, is not connected to linked or imported CAD files.
Anyone else had this problem or come across a solution?
Thank you in advance!

If you have one view open (for example, a plan) and open another view of the same type, Revit will zoom to the same relative location as your previously current view. Handy if you want compare the same part of the floor plan on several different floors. Not so handy if you are opening cropped views for enlarged plans, as the entire visible part of the new view may be off screen. A Zoom Fit (ZF) quickly straightens things out.

Thanks David,
That didn't quite solve our problem, but that is very helpful to know going forward that Revit tries to match the location based on previous views!
Here's an example of a projects that's giving us problems: When the Floor Plan is opened 1st, then the RCP 2nd, the RCP is way below and off screen. When all windows are closed & RCP opened 1st, then a Floor Plan 2nd, the floor plan is way above and off screen. It's all based on the same model in the same location in Revit space.
So, could there be something about our model that is telling Revit that the Floor Plans and RCPs are in different places, despite actually being on top of each other?
Thanks for all of your help!
