sloped roof, gable end elevations offset from each other. How to model?

I am trying to model a roof over exterior stairs that go from a driveway up to a deck. I can start with a simple gable roof, but am wondering how to make the gable ends' heights different on the same roof footprint. The gable end at the deck is about 12' higher than the gable end at the driveway (opposite end of same roof). I hope I'm explaining it correctly. Thanks for any help.

reference planes are the way to go here. If it is a complex set of pitchings, you may need to use multiple planes rather than rely simply on the gable sketching, and model it in several pieces.
