ashlar patterns?

i am trying to replicate an Ashlar pattern, but everything i come a cross is surprisingly stone, whether its patterns or bumps, or images for materials, i am trying to a wall with the Ashlar pattern but the material IS NOT stone, it does have SOME texture, not as bad though, but either way i do it, it looks like stone. picture attached is what i am trying to replicate, any ideas? i've thought of just using reveals, but THATS ALOT of reveals

I would try a Curtain Wall - with very thin mullions and pretty thick solid panels, grid lines at every vertical line in your pattern - then clicking on a grid line and add/remove segments to click out your pattern.
It it's no bigger than the image, you'll manage doing it by hand :-) If you absolutely need it to be in 3D and all - otherwise a custom hatch pattern would probably to a decent job.
