planting sizes

Perhaps I have zero knowledge of plants in general, but why does it seem the plan representation of shrubs are inconsistently large with the shrub chosen.
Is there a simple way to fix this in the family. Or has anyone found better familes to use than the ones ootb? Perhaps some that don't start at 1.9m height
Any advice before I start trying to create my own families?

I wont be rendering the scenes, but would like the elevation views to show the plantings.

The OOB planting families have nested plan graphics inside them. those plan graphics do not contain any parametric values to control the size of the element. If you would like to have that ability, edit the nested graphic build in some parameters and then link as necessary (make sure to make the family shared as I do not believe they are and the parameters instance)
