Cut curved wall offset to stair stringer

It's my first time.. be gentle;-)

How on earth do I manage to cut of this curved wall to follow the stringer like 50cm above the top of the riser?

Thanks a lot DDuarte and sorry to be such a noob, but I simply have a hard time following your instructions. I thought maybe creating a swept blend void to cut the top was the more logical solution. But then again I thought doing it with in-place massing was the logical tool to do so and not a component where I have to choose a family. It's doesn't make sense to me to choose a wall og floor type to make a void?!?

again sorry being a child about it ;-)
