Defaul Scale for Elevations/details/sections.

Is there a way to set the default scale for an Elevation without checking the box for scale in the view template?
We do most interior elevations at 1/4", but don't want to restrict it. I'm not seeing a way to set the scale in the view type.
Any thoughts?
Same goes for sections and details.
Although It looks like it's loosely tied to detail level.
But I'm not sure where you set that either.

Yes you can set it by automatically applying a view template to the view upon creation.
The problem with this approach is that all your VG settings are locked until you set the view template to "none" - even though it doesn't change any of the settings in the view when you select "none" under the view properties.
