Title: "Virtually" There: Using Revit® with Geographically Dispersed Teams
Instructor: Robert Manna
Course Description: This class will explore a variety of practical, technological techniques for managing teams located in multiple offices spread across a geographically dispersed area. We will review and demonstrate IT infrastructure solutions that have worked for Burt Hill and other firms to allow internal teams to collaborate, as well as participation by associate firms and consultants, on single projects. In all these instances, the teams are sharing and working together on one or more models, including multiple users in multiple geographical locations working in a "single" Revit model. We will discuss the pros and cons of various model division approaches in support of these infrastructure solutions. Lastly, we will focus on technological improvements in Revit that assists teams working on the same WAN.
