Title: At Last! FM Is Back in the Autodesk Playground
Instructor: Shaun Bryant
Course Description: Using FM:Interact™ software, we will demonstrate how easy it is to implement an integrated proprietary FM system with your existing AutoCAD® drawings and data. We will present insights into how to prepare your existing AutoCAD drawings for the move to a proprietary FM system and how to link them to that system. You will be shown how polylines and extended entity data (XData) that already exist in your drawings can be utilized as well as the benefits and productivity gains that can be achieved. Not only will you be shown how AutoCAD can generate the FM data you need, but how proprietary CAFM systems can make you a consultant in your own field. For example, as an architect you can become an FM consultant for your client, thus enhancing your revenue stream on your projects. This class is for intermediate and seasoned AutoCAD users who have yet to move to an integrated FM system. Users of any version of AutoCAD who want to enhance their understanding of proprietary facilities management systems and AutoCAD within the FM function will also benefit from this in-depth class. Some prior experience of facilities management will be helpful.
