Title: Creating a Link Between Autodesk® Revit® 2010 and Trimble® Robotic to Utilize BIM Functionality
Instructor: Eric Cylwik
Course Description: By creating a link between Autodesk® Revit 2010 and a Trimble™ Robotic Total Station, Sundt Construction was able to utilize BIM to locate any point on the computer and in the field. This class will explain how to generate northing, easting, and elevation information based on your existing elements, as well as miscellaneous points in your model. You will also learn how to take that information, convert it to a Trimble-friendly format, load it onto a data collector, and locate that exact point in the field. The class is based on cast-in-place concrete uses, but the process is applicable to any construction project.
