Railing behavior on stairs with 2 risers

I was surprised to find out that railing doesn't follow the lines of the stair with landing if the stair is 2 risers high. As soon as you increase the number of risers, the railing is back to usual / expected behavior. Please check the image.

Is there any explanation for this behavior? How it can be changed?

edit the railing sketch. create 2 separate lines, one for the sloped extension, and 1 for the main railing.

Cliff, I think two separate lines, that you're talking about, are automatically created with the stairs. The trick is to apply a slope to these short stair pieces, otherwise they look funny.
