Steel Beam Schedule

I need to produce a steel beam schedule.
If you don't have your steel tagged, whats the best way to schedule the steel beams and filter out the concrete. I've tried filter by description etc. and nothing is working.

ok to answer my own question. I fudged it by highlighting all the concrete beams and adding a comment (the word 'concrete) in the comment box in the properties window.

I can then filter by comment
It's not pretty but it works I guess

Filter by Material.
Steel beam material I believe all starts with AISC, however this might be different in your case.
I've used a similar method when I needed to filter out concrete beams from one schedule to a different one.
I just used the manufacturer field since I didn't really care what concrete plant it was coming from.

Yeah I did try that using material but I don't get the option to use that in the filter.

We must have added that to our beam families.
Assembly or Omni code might be another option for you.
