I had a problem with view range when I needed to have plans taken at 500mm intervals. View range will show things below your bottom range regardless of your settings, so you can get rid of them by using the linework tool. Maybe somebody else will find this useful. Sam.

Did you set levels at 500 mm intevals, then in the plan view of each level, set the view range bottom to current level, with the cut plane say 50 mm above ? Or, if you are slicing through sloped walls/roof, maybe the cut plane at 0.

That should have worked.
