My question is about a software program called CenterStone Manhattan MRI, which uses AutoCAD 2014. I have contacted the manufacture (Trimble) to see if they have a forum but I was told they do not; I am hoping someone in this forum has knowledge about this.

Please let me know if I am in the wrong listing

My issue is involves opening one particular drawing in Autocad that was saved in Corner stone. It’s a procedure that is working fine on all the other drawings, but this one will not cooperate. When I go to open the drawing AutoCAD shows it in the thumbnail preview, but will not open it.

If anyone is familiar with this program I can furnish more details

Thank you _/) Glen

The thumbnail is a separate file. I'm not familiar with Corner Stone. Just AutoCAD.

What happens when you try to open it? Give details.

Have you tried the recover utility in AutoCAD? You should ask someone if recover works ok for Corner Stone. You and try it, if it opens the file, make sure everything is good in the drawing before you save the file.

First step as mentioned by dervin is to try and RECOVER the dwg file. If you have access to a later version, try RECOVER in that as well.

If that still files, you can try opening it in a non-autodesk WG based CAD program. Draftsight is free to use and works quite well. Ares commander from Graebert and BricsCAD from Bricsys have 30 day free trials you can look at as well.

Pssst... this was dragged up from 2015, along with a whole stack of other old threads.
