So just as an exercise for myself to try and learn some new things, I'm attempting to create a Revit model of a historic building in New Orleans. I'm working from the HABS drawings done in 1934, but I also have access to the building, etc. I'm a little stuck on how to go about creating the walls. It is brick between post construction with decaying stucco meaning that wall composition is variable across the length of it. Should I do a model in-place or create a family and label it as a wall? If I do that will the walls join properly at the corners?

My approach would be to model the posts and posts.
Then model brick infill as a wall between each post.
Then add another wall (the stucco layer) to the exterior.
Then go to an elevation view and edit the profile of the wall to remove the areas that have "decayed"
