Cut back in coarse view

Issue: Can't seem to get beams to cut back from other beams/columns in coarse view.

The model came from Tekla, everyhting is fine, however when looking at the roof framing members in plan view (in coarse detail) the beams go all the way to the intersection. In Fin detail view the beams cut back perfectly just not in fine detail. Is there any way to force the beam to be cut back for coarse detail plan view of the roof structure?

Have you looked at the symbolic cutback settings in the structural settings on the manage ribbon? The other setting you might want to look at is the scale of the plan view as this will affect the actual size of the symbolic cutback setting value. For example in my office we have the symbolic cutback set to 1/16" which will actually become 6" when the scale of the plan view is at 1/8" = 1'-0" and 3" at 1/4" = 1'-0" scale.
