Summary: The Purge Dialogue Box could use some improvement, with the ability to expand the dialogue box to read full Family and Type Names. It would also be nice if it could tell you which users loaded the Family into the Project, if it has ever been used and when.
Description: The Purge Dialogue Box could use some improvement, and has not been updated in several releases.
To aid a Model Manager's task of Purging a Revit Project, several improvements would be very useful.
Having the ability to stretch the dialogue box, to have a full window to see the fill Family and Type Names, without having to use the Horizontal Scroll bar would be great.
In addition, having some more information about the Family & Types would also be great such as:
- User that Loaded the Family into the Project
- If the Family has ever been placed or used
- When the Family was last placed, if ever.
- Knowing which Families have dependencies, such as profiles
- Being able to see the Purge-able list of items, compared to a list of all items that would remain in the project (to allow analysis of which items need to remain, versus which need to go).
