I have had a heck of a time trying to get 2016 products to install properly. Going through my Autodesk Account website, it lets me download the complete installation file on previous versions, 2015 included. But for 2016 it only gives me the "Install Now" option with the little 10 MB file, where all the installation and program files are acquired on the fly during the program install process. It also does not give me the option to create a deployment.
I installed the program this way on one user's machine, and then tried to copy the program and install files to our server. On the next machine I tried creating a deployment (by running Setup.exe from the "Autodesk_Revit_Architecture_2016_English_Win_64bit_wi_en-US" folder and then choosing "Create Deployment"), which appeared to work, but then when I tried to run it, the deployment ended up failing. So I tried running the Setup.exe file and just choosing Install On This Machine, but then that process errors out with code 1308, saying some file is not found in a massively long file path, and when I try to look there the containing folder doesn't even exist.
Why do they make this so difficult?? Even if I don't create a deployment I would rather have the install files on our server so I don't have to download them every time for every machine. Has anyone had any success with this?
