Text Leaders detaching from text/arrows

We have problem with some of our text leaders and I wanted to see if anybody has a similar problem. When drawing the text if the leader is not positioned corectly the leader "flies" away from the text and the arrow. Has anybody else experienced this? Is there a fix or workaround? I attached an image of what is happening.

I can safely say I've never seen that. I'd contact support, they'll want to see the file most likely.
