I thought 2016 was improving on this, but it's actually worse. I thought it was going to allow Ctrl-V pasting of data into a cell and then simply using the arrow key to move to the next one and Ctrl-V again. Previously, I had to click in every cell and paste the data. Using the arrow keys would be much faster.

Now, since "matches" pop up, after pasting data I have to click 2-3 times in the next cell (usually starting at the bottom and going up) before I can paste the data again.

What's the deal? Is there no way to paste data into multiple cells at once? This is seriously frustrating that it's even slower doing this than before.

FYI it's the same issue in 2015 R2.

I agree. It is a pain. I try to 'batch paste' as much as I can by compressing schedules. Find a second common parameter that allows you to compact the schedule by unchecking the 'Itemize every Instance' option. Fill in the field while its compact and once you expand again it will be applied to all objects. The trick is to find that 'common' parameter that allows you to group as required.
See this webcast around the 18:30 mark for an explanation of the method (please excuse the audio quality)

Yeah I've done that before by collapsing the schedule. Didn't think about it this time.

I could have sworn I read something about allowing pasted schedule data to be entered after hitting an arrow key, without having to click in the cell.
