Text acting strange, stretched?

I´ve got drawings of a 4 story house, each floor is one .DWG file.
I´m gonna export the layout with a title block for each floor plan.
The title block is copied from it´s own "titleblock.DWG" and into each of the layouts for the floors, however in one of the files the text appears different from the others, it looks like the sentences is stretched, the space between letters is bigger than in the other documents.
The settings is identical in all files as far as I can see, but I guess I´m missing something.

Any ideas what to look for?

Check the width factor setting in each text style or in the text objects themselves if styles aren't being used.

I always use styles for everything so I'm not best qualified to answer that but I can point out that mtext allows formatting within the text object itself and that formatting can over-ride style settings.

Yes this is very true! I use predetermined text styles as well and try to keep everything "by style".
John is right, some people (evil AutoCAD users) over-ride the text within MTEXT so it doesn't match the style and so you have issues if you change the style wanting everything to update.
There is a "STRIPMTXT" routine around here I use for this purpose.

For everything else (dtext, text, etc), you can look at the properties of the objects to see if they are using the right "style" and the width matches the style.
