Just curious if there is a way to make a stair with 2 different materials, say the first two treads are stone and the rest are wood, and have it look like a single run of stairs in plan with the correct annotation for number of treads etc? I have done it by making two separate stairs but it means each stair gets its own arrow and stair tag.

Hello. Let me know what you did here. I have the stairs as wood but carpet will be going on top of them for a few feet in the middle. Maybe I can use the paint tool but want to render it as well. Thanks.

I would probably do the carpet finish as a separate stair on top of the structural stair.

You might be able to use the Paint tool to apply the visual.
Just a thought.

I tried this and was not able to paint on a stair unless I was doing something wrong. I am just making different parts in the areas I need a different material to use.
