I would like to see AutoCAD increment (change the value) of a cable number WITHOUT typing up one. When I was using Inter-graph back in 1989, I would insert text that would automatically give me the numbers in the sequence that it was inserted. I have not seen that feature in AutoCAD, but it would be a great time saver so I would not have to create the text AND edit the text manually.
