Hi,

I had an existing toposurface (generated by selecting an engineer's CAD file) demolished in the new phase, and two existing pads demolished in the new phase.

I had new toposurface and five new pads.

All of this was cutting appropriately in the existing and new phases.

I had to replace the toposurface as the engineer updated the file.

Now, no pads are cutting the replaced toposurfaces. And when I remake the pads and have everything on appropriate phase settings, nothing is cutting either toposurface.

What is going on? I am wasting a lot of time on this. I appreciate your feedback.

Thx,
Derek

Edit: well, the new phase toposurface is cutting per the new phase pads, but the existing phase toposurface (existing to be demolished in new phase) won't be cut by pads which are existing to be demolished in new phase. All of this had been working before I replaced the existing-to-be-demolished-in-new-phase toposurface.

When creating topo surfaces allot of errors happen with cut pads and which phase they are on. To avoid clash errors, consider creating one topo with its own pads for existing, and creating a new topo file with its own pads for the new phase. When you link your topo's to the central file, you can hide or show either link as desired.

I think from your description because either the the new topo is pinned or locked in a project position, it will not allow pads to cut. I could also be a workgroup lock that halts editing too.
